Writings of Saint Lucia, Ghana and life in general. A Peace Corps Volunteer in St. Lucia, visiting faculty in Ghana and grandma for life. This is a look back at the details of my travels and a document for my grandchildren. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it. This blog does not express views of U.S. Peace Corps, Webster University, my family, dog or any institutions named or linked to these pages. It's life observation as I interpret it.

Karen,
I have been reading your blog and enjoying the experiences. Your adventures are wonderful to hear about and the view / photographs are moving. It must be an experience second to none.

Hi Karen,
Everything just looks so beautiful. The greenery and the water are breathtaking. How is the deep sea fishing there?
Bob
Fishermen take tourists out on larger boats to deep sea fish. They fish the way we are accustomed: with large poles. That is the tourist business. But fishermen who are in the business of selling their fish go out on small boats with three or four men and ropes and spears. This is what makes this experience so unique; knowing the back story.
