It is not uncommon to see homes on stilts. They are everywhere - on high ground and low ground. Why do you think they build them this way?

It can't be for floods. It's a sign of wealth, and you also get a better view.

Bugs, four-legged critters and robbery control. Temperature control, views, plant growth, uneven land. Religious beliefs. Shaded ground-level patio.
Covered parking without having to pay the price of building a carport. I give up gimme the answer.
